Incentives available with new homes in Braintree

Essex property-seekers can benefit from a selection of money-saving schemes at Taylor Wimpey’s Scholars Mews development of new homes for sale in Braintree.

FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.

Alternatively, under easymover, purchasers can take their pick from a choice of family-size homes at Scholars Mews and then let Taylor Wimpey help find a buyer for their current property, usually within a matter a weeks.

Ninety per cent of properties are sold successfully through the initiative, the typical timescale from sale to exchange of contracts is just 10 weeks, and Taylor Wimpey can even cover the cost of estate agents’ fees.

There’s a stunning selection of new homes currently available at Scholars Mews, including the three-bedroom ‘Denford’ semi-detached house priced at just £238,995, and a choice of four-bedroom houses from only £272,995.
