Luxury Havana and Mexico's Mayan Riviera

10th February 2012 Print

Specialist tour operator, Journey Latin America, are launching a new luxury holiday combining two of Latin America’s most seductive destinations, Havana and Mexico's Mayan Riviera.

Following the launch of Virgin Atlantic’s flight to Cancún in June 2012 the Mexican Riviera is set to be the next big destination in Latin America and to capitalise on this Journey Latin America have designed a holiday that will take in two of Central America’s most seductive areas.

The itinerary starts with a flight to Cuba's capital Havana where the beautifully restored churches which sit side-by-side with colonial mansions are testament to the decadence of an era that ended over half a century ago. Following a short 1-hour flight over to Cancún, Mexico clients will stay in the colonial city of Mérida where they can relax in the surroundings of a sumptuous hacienda and explore vast and impressive Mayan ruins. The final part of the holiday winds down in-style on the Mayan Riviera. Away from large resorts and crowds on the picture-perfect beaches of the Caribbean.

Luxury Havana and Mexico's Mayan Riviera is a 13-day holiday and costs from £3,125 per person including flights. The price includes first-class hotels, airport transfers, Cuban entry visa, an excursion to the Mayan site of Chichén Itzá and breakfast daily.

Julia Ross of Journey Latin America has booked this trip for her own honeymoon later this year. She comments, “What appealed to me was the ultimate combination of utter relaxation and the opportunity to discover some of the world’s most iconic and unique places. For me, adding the Cuban capital to the mix – a place that just exudes romance and exotic glamour – really makes this trip something special.”
