Manchester first time buyers, who want to take advantage of the stamp duty holiday on homes up to £250k, should act now if they don’t want to miss out, according to housebuilder Lovell.

First time buyers need to complete their house purchase before March 24 if they want to avoid paying a 1% tax on properties priced between £125,000 and £250,000.

Elaine Taylor, sales manager for Lovell, says: “If you’re looking to purchase your first home, then you could save yourself up to £2,500 if you act now and buy before the Government ends the stamp duty holiday for first time buyers. We have a great selection of properties at five popular locations across Manchester and the surrounding area, which fall within this price bracket, so I would urge people who are considering making a move to take that first step sooner rather than later.”

Lovell offers a variety of homes for sale on five exciting developments across Manchester in new residential areas.

Located just one mile from Manchester city centre, The Way, Beswick, has a variety of contemporary styled homes for sale in this vibrant location minus the city centre price tag. Stylish three-bedroom houses are available from just £149,995.

Nearby, at Fairfields, in Openshaw, Lovell has the last three-bedroom house for sale, priced at just £139,995. This house has been reduced by £20,000 and includes fitted carpets, landscaped garden and private parking.

Lovell’s latest development, Gener8, in Miles Platting, offers a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses in a popular regeneration area of east Manchester. Prices are from £110,995 to £164,995. It’s within easy reach of a host of local amenities including the newly opened £7.4m Park View Community Primary School, Miles Platting and Ancoats Sure Start Children’s Centre, Victoria Mill and Sports City.

Further north in Middleton, Lovell has two developments of two and three-bedroom homes; Windermere Park and Windermere Gardens. Both are ideal for first time buyers and families situated within a quiet neighbourhood close to the town centre, which is enjoying ongoing regeneration. Spacious interiors and quality fixtures and fittings come at an affordable price, with prices starting at £109,995 for a two-bedroom house to £143,995 for a three-bedroom detached home.

All homes come complete with kitchens, stylish bathrooms and inbuilt energy efficiency measures. Attention to detail is paramount and purchasers could even personalise their new home with Lovell’s ‘Inspirations’ range of optional extras subject to build stage.
