Just three homes left at popular Derby development

A local housebuilder is urging buyers to snap up the last remaining properties at its popular Derby development before it is too late.

Morris has just three homes remaining at its City Point development on London Road. These new build properties, which are just two mile from Derby city centre, are available with the Government-led HomeBuy Direct scheme.

Under the scheme, which is available until 31 March, first time buyers can purchase a new home for just 70 per cent of its market value, which removes the need to save for a large deposit.

Cindy Vials, regional sales director for Morris, said: “City Point is a fantastic development in a desirable location, with great access to the local motorway network. It is no surprise that there are only three remaining properties there.

“The HomeBuy Direct scheme is a brilliant incentive for first time buyers as it greatly reduces the size of the deposit needed and their mortgage payments, but all reservations under this scheme need to be made by 29 February, so we would urge househunters to hurry down to City Point to avoid missing out on securing their very first home.”

With the stamp duty holiday finishing on the 23rd March, first-time buyers that legally complete on their new property at City Point before this time will not have to pay the 1% fee on houses costing £125,000-£250,000.

The remaining three and four-bed properties at the City Point development are available with a carpets and curtains package and start at £106,950 under the HomeBuy Direct scheme.
