Fun fitness options for Easter holidays

22nd February 2012 Print

Lifestyle 247, a new boot camp and retreat provider, is launching its first UK health and fitness camps over the Easter period in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Offering something a little different from the regular boot camps, participants can choose from three distinct themes - Bootcamp Bollywood, Bootcamp OldSkool and Bootcamp plus Family.

Alongside high impact daily exercise workouts, each boot camp offers a combination of motivational workshops, exercise with ex-military trainers and nutritional advice, with pre-and post-camp support provided to all participants. Top chef and Great British Menu finalist, Stephanie Moon, is in charge of creating fresh and delicious recipes throughout the day for the Easter bootcamps.

Yasmin Mohammed, founder of Lifestyle 247, said: “Our camps are unique as they not only allow clients to choose the duration of the stay – from three, five or seven nights - but also choose the theme of the camp according to their interests and priorities. Their time with us will be focused around losing weight as well as trying new and memorable experiences which may not be accessible in everyday life.”

Visitors can choose from the following options:

Bootcamp Bollywood: Bollywood dancing is one of the hottest dances around! It’s a fusion of traditional and classical Indian moves combined with the Western influence of jazz, hip-hop and modern dance. Lifestyle 247’s Bollywood Bootcamp allows you to learn from the experts – genuine Bollywood dance teachers from the renowned Bollywood London Dance group will spend three hours each day teaching high-octane routines. Skills will be put into practice at the grand finale where clients will showcase what they have learned as they star in their very own Bollywood music video, whilst of course, dressed in exotic Indian attire.

Bootcamp OldSkool: This theme is designed for those who are interested in a ‘no-frills’ approach and want to see maximum results the traditional way. It is best suited to those who like to push themselves and beat their previous days’ record through activities such as bleep tests, speed interval training as well as speed, agility and quickness training. A fun but military style camp, on average, clients can expect to lose anything up to 10lbs in a week.

Bootcamp Plus Family: Perfect for all those yummy mummies and daddies who are desperate to get into shape but are too busy looking after the kids, Lifestyle 247 offers the ideal solution with their Bootcamp Plus Family option. This camp offers superb childcare facilities for up to 12 hours per day for children aged 0-14 years. Some of the training also involves the children through games like ‘prams on the run’, so they don’t have to miss out on all the fun. As well as nutritional experts advising on how to ensure the whole family is maintaining a healthy and balanced diet, there are also family sessions where parents and their children can bond through games and workshops.

Dates are from 31 March to 14 April 2012, with prices ranging from £450 to £1,550 per person depending on duration and accommodation options.

In addition to North Yorkshire, Lifestyle 247 will be launching boot camps and retreats in Telemark, Norway and Côte D’Azur, France, with further destinations being added throughout the year.
