The low-fare airline will be flying to the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik from Edinburgh on Mondays and Thursdays from 21 June 2012.

Connecting the historic Scottish city with the land of fire and ice, flights are now bookable online and cost from £89 one-way including all taxes, surcharges, check-in, seat allocation, a 20kg bag in the hold and 10kg hand luggage. Iceland Express do not charge extra for flights booked on a debit card.

"We are pleased to be flying once again from Edinburgh and know it's a popular route that will be well received by our customers. We are committed to offering our customers choice and will be offering twice-weekly Stansted flights in addition to our Gatwick flights," says Heimir Már Pétursson, Iceland Express' Public Relations Manager.

"The extended daylight hours of an Icelandic summer gives travellers more time to experience the beauty of the country so whether you are looking for a colourful city break or longer stay, we've got plenty to offer and a diverse array of events for everyone to enjoy," he added.
