At 5.00am on Saturday 22nd March, one avid fundraiser will take his first steps on an epic marathon challenge. Bernie Hollywood, a 48 year old father of two from the Wirrall, will attempt to complete 35 marathons in 22 days, culminating in the Flora London Marathon on April 13th.

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Speedo, the world’s leading swimwear brand has launched Speedo LZR Racer suit, which independent testing has shown to be the world’s fastest swimsuit. Speedo has harnessed the expertise of the United States space agency NASA amongst a number of international research institutes to create a faster suit which has 10% less passive drag than Speedo’s Fastskin FSII launched in 2004 and 5% less passive drag than Speedo FS-PRO, which was launched in March 2007 and has seen swimmers break 21 World records as a result.
This year’s London Marathon takes place on 13 April, with tens of thousands of runners expected to compete. Sporting experts at London Marathon recommend a 24 week training programme prior to the big day, requiring ongoing commitment from those taking part, with hours of running put in behind the scenes.
