The success of Mazda2 has helped the UK importer to a run of six months of all-time record sales – and means 2007 will be a record year.


The all-new Mazda2 supermini has been awarded a 5-Star safety rating in the latest round of Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) crash tests.

Mazda Motors has developed a new exhaust catalyst which manages to reduce the amount of expensive precious metals used by 70 to 90 percent. The breakthrough has come through using what is known as single-nanotechnology. Single-nanotechnology is a technology that can control even smaller particles than nanotechnology.


Mazda has unveiled a new fabric for car interiors made entirely from plant-derived fibres. The fabric was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show on the seat covers and door trim in the all-new Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid.


Mazda Motor Corporation and HyNor (Hydrogen Road of Norway) have announced they will collaborate in the development of hydrogen fuel and hydrogen vehicles. This was formally agreed at a signing ceremony held at the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo.


Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe The Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) has named the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe ‘Best Drop-Top’ at its Scottish Car of the Year 2007 awards.
