2006 MINI Challenge action from Croft, September 10. On Sunday, October 22, Donington Park will see Waylen Hunsucker, America’s fastest MINI driver go head-to-head with the UK’s elite in the final rounds of the 2006 UK MINI Challenge, the first of two transatlantic MINI face-offs.


Mini Cooper S The new MINI receives its world debut today at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris, Europe’s biggest motor show of the year. The global unveiling previews the new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S, which go on sale in the UK on Saturday 18 November 2006. The all-new MINI features a completely new body design, a striking modern interior and brand new performance engines with lower fuel consumption and significantly reduced emissions.


The new MINI will be produced in Oxford with a 20 per cent expansion in capacity to 240,000 cars a year as part of a £200 million UK investment by BMW Group, which will also create 450 new jobs, it was announced today.


MINI UK has been working with the charity Whizz-Kidz since 2002 and has helped raise funds and awareness during this time. With the launch of the new MINI on the horizon, the time is right to see how MINI can help another organisation. From January 2007, MINI will be offering its support to a new charity partner.


Mini Cooper Details of the all-new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S have been revealed today, Monday 14 August 2006. Featuring a completely new body design, a striking modern interior and modern high-performance engines, the two new models go on sale before the end of the year.


MINI is celebrating another milestone achievement. 200,000 MINIs have now been sold in the UK since its launch in July 2001.


Paul Baker collects his MINI GP from Mike Cooper at the British Motor Show Paul Baker, the first UK MINI GP customer, collected the keys to his dream car from Mike Cooper. Mr Baker had registered his interest with local dealer, North Oxford Garage, when the first rumours of the fastest production MINI started to appear in January 2005; nine months before the car was officially announced.

MINI GP gone fast The MINI GP has sold out in the UK before a single customer has driven the car and extra allocation of the exclusive 2000 models being built for the globe has been secured. The MINI Cooper S with John Cooper Works GP Kit was announced in October 2005, and only 444 UK customers were given the chance to own one from July 2006.
