With the looming thought of longer hours of darkness, lower temperatures and standing outside in the cold with a toasted marshmallow, Nissan has produced a series of consumer offers to warm everyone up.

Nissan has opened its new Engineering Centre, located within the Nissan Technical Centre (NTC) campus in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Construction started in October 2004 and was completed in September.

Within weeks of going on sale the all new Nissan X-TRAIL has been crowned ‘Soft Roader of the Year’ by specialist off road magazine 4x4 in its 2008 4x4 of the year edition. And that’s not all; for the second consecutive year the Nissan Navara has been voted ‘Lifestyle Pick-up of the Year’.

Nissan has developed its fourth-generation Advanced Safety Vehicle, known as the Nissan ASV-4. Based on the Advanced Safety Vehicle (ASV) Promotion Plan by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the vehicle is designed to help reduce accidents by employing advanced vehicle-to-vehicle communications.
