Peugeot introduces two new petrol models into its successful 207 range, the 207 SPORT 1.6 16v 120 and the 207 SE 1.6 16v 120.

Peugeot’s popular 107 range entry-model is, from February, to be available in a new 3-door ‘Sport XS’ trim level for young-minded individuals who like a more racy and personalised vehicle. Available from just £8,345, the 107 Sport XS is a combination of distinctive appearance with great value, and is available in four colour combinations.

In 2007 Peugeot will return to the world’s racing circuits as part of the Le Mans Series (LMS) with the Peugeot 908 and an experienced team of racing drivers.

Peugeot is launching the new RT4 Multi Media system with integral 30 Gb hard drive and 180 hours of MP3 music playback capability on the 407 Saloon, SW and Coupé range.

Peugeot’s Specialist Vehicle Operation (PSVO) department is to supply West Midlands Police with a further 15 307 Estate cars, to carry their dog patrol teams. The specially adapted Peugeot cars met the demanding criteria for the response transportation of trained dogs and their handlers, and are specially adapted to hold a removable cage.

Peugeot new car sales remained buoyant in a UK market which saw a decline of 3.9%. With a total of 144,132 car sales Peugeot strengthened its position in the UK market, with a market share of 6.15%. On Sunday 5th November, the 2006 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run (LBVCR) sees an 1895 Peugeot lead the historic run, this year celebrating its 110th anniversary. The Peugeot Vis-à-vis (as car No.1) is the only car of 1895 vintage, and one of 36 19th century vehicles. A total of 490 pre-1905 cars are participating, including 13 Peugeots.
