Richard Westbrook dominated rounds 19 and 20 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Brands Hatch on Sunday, 2 October, to score his 12th and 13th race wins of the season. Meanwhile, strong drives by the new 2005 Porsche Carrera Cup Champion, Damien Faulkner, and his team-mate, Jason Templeman, ensured Team Parker Racing secured the Teams’ Championship.

The 2005 Porsche Carrera Cup GB will conclude on the challenging Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch over the weekend (1/2 October). The biggest grid of the season will line up at the Kent track, with third place in the championship and the team championship still to be decided.

The 2005 Porsche Carrera Cup GB title was provisionally clinched at Silverstone on Sunday by Co Donegal's Damien Faulkner. With victory in an action-packed round 17 and second to Richard Westbrook (Ipswich) in round 18, Faulkner now has an unassailable lead in the championship with two races remaining.

The stunning new ‘Type 997’ Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, which will be used exclusively in the 2006 Porsche Carrera Cup GB, was one of the star attractions on the roads of Milton Keynes on Thursday, 15 September.
More than 25,000 Porsche and motor racing fans are expected to descend on Brands Hatch this Bank Holiday weekend (28-29 August) as the Porsche Club of Great Britain assemble 5,500 modern and historic road and racecars during a two-day event – the biggest of its kind in Europe.
