Over 25 years after unveiling the first four-seater convertible to the world, Saab’s design classic takes on a new form in the shape of the 9-X Air concept car.
The Saab 9-3 was introduced in the UK in March 1998, as a replacement for the 900. The second generation 9-3 was introduced in October 2002 and superseded in September 2007.

Saab’s much talked about concept cars, will be presented for the first time in the UK at the British International Motorshow. The Saab 9-4X BioPower and the Saab 9-X BioHybrid signal Saab’s commitment to expanding its product portfolio.

Saab comes to the 2008 Sexy Green Car Show at the Eden Project with its ground-breaking vision of what the future compact car could look like – the Saab 9-X BioHybrid. First seen at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show in March, where it won ‘Best Concept’, the Saab 9-X BioHybrid is making its UK debut at the show.

In response to the Chancellor’s announcement that the fuel duty rebate for biofuels will expire from 2010 Jonathan Nash, Managing Director of Saab Great Britain, ‘fears that the Government has turned its back on biofuels.’

Saab’s latest concept car, the 9-X BioHybrid has been named “Best Concept” at the Geneva Motor Show. With this award, the 9-X BioHybrid joins the very successful Saab Aero X concept which also received AutoWeek’s “Best in Show” honours at its debut in Geneva two years ago.

Saab is a brand on the move, displaying two concept cars at this year’s Geneva show as part of a commitment to expand its product portfolio by entering all major segments of the car market.

Saab’s future style made its debut at Detroit on the new 9-4X luxury sports-utility vehicle. The VW Touareg-sized 4x4 features styling cues inside and out that will feature on all future Saabs, said Mark Adams, GM Europe’s vice-president of design.
