On Saturday, 4 August 2007 at 12:00, ten Skoda Octavia Scouts are starting a 9,700-kilometre expedition in Moscow's Red Square to end in Vladivostok, at the Japanese Sea.
The Skoda Auto Group has achieved a pre tax-profit of CZK 10 billion over the first six months of this year, which is a 22.1% year-on-year increase. The assembly plants have produced altogether 318,189 Skoda vehicles since the beginning of the year.
Twenty years ago, on July 1, 1987, the plant in Mladá Boleslav produced the very first (“pre-series”) Skoda Favorit. Six months later, the series production was launched, starting one of the most important periods in the history of what is today the Czech Republic's largest car manufacturer.
Skoda has been named the ‘Car Franchise of the Year’ by a panel of industry experts at the Motor Trader awards.
With the smoking ban set to come into force in less than a week, Skoda can reveal that the majority of company car drivers welcome the new legislation with 64% drivers recently surveyed agreeing with the ban.
