Project Splash The flagship model of the new Swift range, the European specification Swift Sport based on the 3-door Swift, will have its launch at the Paris Motor Show. It is produced at Magyar Suzuki Corporation in Hungary and sales will start in the autumn.


The introduction of two new Suzuki SX4 derivatives this month completes the line-up of a 5-door hatchback range that blends elements of both sporty compacts and lightweight SUVs to create a distinctive compact car alternative.


Suzuki is introducing an attractive finance offer on its Grand Vitara 1.6 3-door models. Offering low cost entry into the attractive SUV range, the 4.9 % APR PCP scheme requires an initial deposit of £4,208 (£4,400 for VVT+) followed by 36 monthly payments of just £136 (£144 for VVT+).


Customers of the all-new Suzuki Grand Vitara – launched three months ago – now have the option of diesel power in the shape of the 1.9 DDiS 5-door model with manual transmission. At £16,999 on-the-road, it is as much as £2,750 less expensive than its similarly sized, Japanese four-wheel drive competitors.


It’s the car that provided the first glimpse of Suzuki’s innovative new design strategy, and now the Swift has received the ringing endorsement of two particularly discerning audiences.


The Suzuki Swift has been voted Irish Car of the Year 2006 by the Irish Motoring Writers Association. The announcement was made at an awards ceremony today in the Berkeley Court Hotel attended by leading figures from the motor industry. The results were as follows:


Suzuki Swift GE-Plastics, Automotive has announced that an application featuring its Xenoy resin – a pedestrian protection energy absorber for the 2005 Suzuki Swift "sub-compact" automobile – has been named the first-ever winner in the Safety System category of the 2005 SPE Automotive Innovation Awards program.


Suzuki GB PLC has signed an agreement with network service providers Autogreen which will enable the company to comply with European Union regulations regarding the disposal of old Suzuki vehicles.


Suzuki GB has completed the building of a 170,000 sq ft distribution, training and office complex at Snelshall, Milton Keynes and has - over the past three months - transferred its Technical and Parts Operations to this new facility.


P.X. Suzuki will be showing as usual a number of exciting concept vehicles at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show which runs from 19 October until 6 November. They include the P.X., the Ionis, the LC and Mom’s Personal Wagon.
