Ryanair is inviting applications from registered charities who wish to partner with Ryanair for its 2009 Cabin Crew Charity Calendar. The 2009 Calendar will go on sale on November 1 and the charity chosen by Ryanair will receive all proceeds from calendar sales.


Ryanair has rejected claims by Arad County Council and its President, Mr. Iosaf Matula, in relation to Ryanair’s recent cancellation of its route from Milan Bergamo to Arad Airport in Romania.


Ryanair has announced the cancellation of all flights to Arad Airport in Romania from the 31st July. Ryanair started flying to Arad from Bergamo in Italy 3 times weekly in April 2008 and had intended to carry 50,000 passengers in the first year of operations to the Arad region. All plans for additional flights to Arad have now been cancelled and Ryanair will replace the Arad service with a 3 times weekly service from Bergamo to Berlin-Schönefeld.


Ryanair has announced that it will launch three new routes - to Faro, Fuerteventura and Prague - from East Midlands at the end of October this year. This latest expansion brings Ryanair's East Midlands base to thirty-eight routes. Passengers can now access a wide variety of European destinations from East Midlands such as Belfast, Shannon, Nantes, Nimes, Malaga, Milan and many more.


Ryanair has announced that it will launch four new routes from Liverpool - to Gdansk, Scezecin, Knock and Faro - at the end of October this year. This latest expansion brings the number of routes at Ryanair's Liverpool base to forty-five. Passengers can now access a wide variety of European destinations from Liverpool such as Derry, Madrid, Pisa and Nimes.


Ryanair has launched a new Flight Tracker service with Sentient Solutions, which will deliver flight information directly to UK and Irish mobiles. By calling or texting Flight Tracker, anyone awaiting a Ryanair passenger can now receive up to date information on the status of any Ryanair flight to/ from the UK and Ireland as well as regular flight status updates for just £1.50/ €2.


Ryanair yesterday (17 June) started its twenty-fifth base in Birmingham. Ryanair also announced today that it will launch nine new routes - to Alicante, Derry, Fuerteventura, Katowice, Kaunas, Krakow, Palma, Malaga and Murcia - in October 2008.


Ryanair is publicly rejecting the claim by Aer Arann’s Pádraig Ó Ceidigh who suggested in an Irish Times interview that “The biggest problem we (Aer Arann) are facing is that Ryanair is all over us like a rash”. Ryanair is stating that there is no substance whatsoever to this statement.


Ryanair is saying “Auf Wiedersehen!” to EasyJet, following their announcement that EasyJet has started consultations with its staff on the closure of its Dortmund base where EasyJet has 3 aircraft and 11 routes. EasyJet started its base in Dortmund in 2005. Ryanair started a competing base in Düsseldorf-Weeze in 2007 and just 1 year later EasyJet announced that they plan to close Dortmund.


Ryanair has launched its Ryanair Villas site, giving passengers the chance to book holiday rentals while snapping up the guaranteed lowest fares with Ryanair.


Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares airline, today (5 June) announced its biggest-ever single expansion, launching twelve new UK routes as part of a package of forty new European routes for Winter 2008.


Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline and Britvic International, have announced a new 5 year supply agreement for soft drinks onboard Ryanair’s 1,000 daily flights. This new agreement will allow Ryanair passengers to enjoy Pepsi, 7-Up, J20 and Britvic’s range of juices onboard all Ryanair’s lowest fare flights until 2013.


Ryanair has announced 14 new routes across Europe to be launched in October 2008, including 5 new UK routes - from Bournemouth to Milan and Paris, and from Glasgow to Faro, Malaga and Tenerife. Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline yesterday responded to British Airways’ latest increase of its fuel levy by releasing 500,000 seats for just £10* with a guarantee of no fuel surcharges ever. BA yesterday announced its second fuel surcharge hike in a month, increasing its unavoidable fuel levy by £30 to £109 per one-way flight.


Ryanair has announced a new route from London Stansted to Zweibrücken, Germany's "city of roses and horses", which will start on October 28.


Ryanair has announced a new partnership with Isango, which will provide Ryanair’s 60 million passengers with the guaranteed lowest price on over 4,000 trips and tours on Ryanair.com. Passengers can now save time and avoid queues at Europe’s top sites by booking Isango’s range of sightseeing tours and activities before they fly on the ‘Trips and Tours’ section of Ryanair.com.


Ryanair has announced changes to its optional priority boarding service which allows passengers to be first to board their flights. Airport check-in passengers currently pay £4 / €5 for this service, while web check-in passengers receive this service free of charge in order to promote online check-in.


Ryanair has announced the launch of Ryanairvillas.com which will give property owners the chance to advertise holiday rentals on Europe's largest travel site. In partnership with Web Reservations International, Ryanairvillas.com will afford property owners the chance to create and publish their own advertisements, including photos, maps and property descriptions, while providing the necessary online tools to manage enquiries and bookings.


Since June 2007, the Spanish government requires that all passengers travelling from the UK/ Ireland to Spain (including the Canaries and Balearic Islands) provide 'advance passenger information' ('API' or 'APIS' data) before their flight departure.


Ireland’s four leading airlines have formed a new consultation committee in response to the Dublin Airport Authority’s (DAA’s) failure in the past to properly consult with users or to meet their reasonable requirements in terms of facilities at Dublin Airport.


Ryanair has announced that it will continue its drive to increase the number of passengers checking in on-line by increasing baggage and airport check-in charges from May 5th. From this date Ryanair's checked in baggage fee will rise from £6 to £8 while airport check-in fees will increase from £3 to £4. Ryanair encourages passengers to avoid these charges altogether by travelling with our 10kg hand luggage allowance and checking in on-line.


Ryanair has called on the European Commission to stop a further €300m of state aid for Alitalia. Alitalia has already received over €5bn in state aid, and Ryanair claims the European Commission is turning a blind eye with flag carriers.


Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline has announced two new summer routes from London Stansted to Beziers (France) and Rimini (Italy). The flights go on sale today on ryanair.com and will operate in June, July and August.
