Fourteen trucks fuelled by Dimethylether (DME) will hit the highways of Sweden between late 2009 – early 2010 as part of a project owned by Volvo Powertrain and funded by the Swedish Energy Agency and the European 7th framework programme.


Heads turned last Friday (4th July) when an unusual delivery took place through busy Stockholm streets as the latest Ericsson Volvo Open 70 yacht was hauled by Volvo Trucks’ new flagship Volvo FH16.

Donarbon Waste Management, part of the family-owned Dickerson Group in business for over 75 years, has taken delivery of six Volvo FM-400 8x4 trucks, taking the Volvo fleet strength to 67 out of a total fleet of 77 trucks, with a further 14 currently on order.


Volvo Trucks’ Hungarian subsidiary, Volvo Hungary Trading and Services Kft, has signed an agreement for 1,500 trucks with transport and logistics company Waberer’s Optimum Solution, formerly known as Hungarocamion.
