Aer Lingus begin flights from new Belfast base
Aer Lingus began operations from its new Belfast base today putting the seal on a €150 million (Sterling £100 million) investment announced in August. Aer Lingus is to increase its long haul fuel surcharge with effect from Thursday 1 November 2007 as a result of recent trends in the price of oil. The fuel surcharge on long haul flights to/from Ireland to New York, Boston & Washington will rise to £35 per sector, on flights to/from Chicago, Orlando & Dubai will rise to £40 per sector while flights to/from Ireland to Los Angeles and San Francisco to £45 per sector.
Aer Lingus finds agreement with Belfast pilots
