Aer Lingus announces partnership with Special Olympics Ireland

Aer Lingus has announced that it has entered into a Partnership with Special Olympics Ireland for the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games. Aer Lingus as Official Airline will provide return flights for Team Ireland and TEAM 2007, transporting the 143 athletes, 55 coaches and 200 volunteers on board an Airbus A321 from Dublin to London Heathrow airport on 27th and 29th September and welcoming the team aboard on their return journey on 12th and 13th October from London Heathrow to Dublin airport.

Aer Lingus introduces enhanced seat selection option

Aer Lingus today announced a number of enhancements to Aerlingus.com that will offer passengers the choice to pre-book additional seat options and travel insurance online. From the end of May customers may choose to pre-book seating in the first five seat rows at a charge of €10, an exit row seat at a charge of €15 and all remaining at a charge of €3.

Aer Lingus to reduce fuel surcharges on long haul flights

Aer Lingus is to reduce long haul fuel surcharges by 25% on all tickets booked for flights to and from the US and the Middle East from midnight on the 12th February 2007. The fuel surcharge reduction represents a decrease of €10/US$15 each way and comes as a result of decreasing international oil prices.

Aer Lingus announces new route to Northern Spain

Aer Lingus, "Celebrating 70 years of serving Ireland" is to commence direct scheduled flights to Lithuania for the first time with the announcement of a thrice weekly Dublin to Vilnius service commencing May 2007. Aer Lingus will also commence services to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain from next March operating twice weekly, making it the 14th Spanish destination to be served by the airline.
