TAP Portugal has launched its latest campaign this autumn to promote its new daily flight schedule between Manchester and Lisbon.
TAP Portugal is set to further develop the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance, which dates back to the Middle Ages in 1373 and is said to be the oldest alliance in the world, with the introduction of a more frequent service on two of its Portuguese routes.
TAP Portugal, one of the leading airlines from the UK to Portugal, is currently offering a number of promotional prices to the UK market with reduced fares from London and Manchester. Destinations include Funchal, Lisbon and Porto.
TAP Portugal has started direct operations to Vienna, the capital city of Austria.
On 4 June, TAP launched regular flights to Athens, Greece’s capital city, with five flights a week. The route uses Airbus A320 aircraft with a seating capacity of 160 passengers.
Last Friday, 1 April, TAP launched its direct service between Lisbon and Bordeaux, the airline’s new destination in France, in addition to the five other cities currently served – Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse – totalling 149 flights per week between the two countries.
In 2010 TAP was voted “Best Airline in the World” by Condé Nast Traveller and may retain its title in 2011 thanks to its inclusion once again on the “Gold List” from which a winner will be selected, as announced in the December issue of the prestigious international magazine.
TAP will expand operations on 20 of its routes for the 2010-2011 winter season — a seven per cent increase over the same period last year.
TAP Portugal and Continental Airlines, both Star Alliance members, have announced they are starting code-share flights to a wide range of destinations in the United States, Central America, Europe and Africa.
TAP has launched a promotional campaign for flights to European destinations starting at 49 euros, with all taxes included. With the largest network of European destinations departing from Portugal, TAP operates direct flights to the main airports of Europe’s major cities.
TAP has increased its flight frequency to two of its destinations in Eastern Europe, Prague and Budapest, adding one direct flight per week to both cities until the end of October.
TAP and Egyptair have strengthened their cooperation by increasing their code-share operations to new destinations.
TAP is offering tickets at unbeatable prices to Helsinki, Moscow and Warsaw, from 99 Euros inclusive of all taxes.
TAP has formed a partnership with Booking.com with the goal of providing the airline's customers new online tools to book their holiday accommodation.
TAP is launching its new route to Algiers on 1 June, with rates from EUR 266 (taxes included). This promotion is valid for travel originating in the mainland (Lisbon, Porto and Faro), for the period from 1 June to 30 June.
