Britannia Building Society announces the launch of a new five-year fixed rate mortgage with a rate of 5.84%.

With upfront fees of just £499, the package is available to first time buyers, home movers and those looking to move their mortgage to Britannia.

This latest package is likely to be a real hit, as only last week, Moneyfacts gave Britannia's fixed rate mortgages 4 stars out of a possible five.
