Malatíny has a good location between Liptovský Mikulás and Ruzomberok, at the foot of the Lage Tatra Mountains. The thermal spa’s of Besenová, the new Aquapark Tatralandia is close by, there is water recreation and a beach close to Bobrovník (the lake Liptovská Mara), there is the open air museum Havranok and the beautiful wooden church of Svätý Kríz.
