F1 ace joins Beckham in Brazil Sao Paolo born Formula 1 ace, Rubens Barrichello, has announced his new motor sports attraction in the north eastern region of Natal. Together with The David Beckham Academy, both projects are to set a high standard of sporting interest in the region, improving quality of living as well as positively affecting capital appreciation and rental returns on property in the area.

The Rubens Barrichello Driving Experience has been designed with true motor enthusiasts in mind and will be located in Cabo Sao Roque, Natal. The project is aimed at all ages and will include a four-wheel driving experience as well as a Barrichello Auto Arena go-kart racing experience for families and children alike, testing out their driving skills.

Barrichello has always been considered Ayrton Senna’s protege; as of the 2008 Formula One season, Barrichello is the only driver left competing in Formula One to have raced against Senna and has scored the fifth greatest Drivers points total in Formula One history. Barrichello drove for Ferrari from 2000 to 2005 and is now part of the Honda Team. With his origins in mind, The Rubens Barrichello facility will offer a scholarship programme for young Brazilians, aiming to discover the country’s next Formula 1 champion.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello, now 34 and the longest standing driver since his debut in 1993, has helped design the “Driving Experience” project which will boast maintenance workshops, a pit lane area and a Barrichello Racing Museum.

Globally recognised sports icons such as Barrichello and Beckham are considerably contributing to the development of Rio Grande do Norte. Creating new and appealing infrastructure as well as worldwide awareness, these projects will not only add value to local property, but increase demand in the region for vacation rentals from international and domestic tourist markets alike.
