Job Description
A fantastic opportunity to join this highly successful media group based in London. You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for an assistant accountant and accounts team. This role is to effectively run an accounting team covering two divisions of the organisation.

You must be studying towards either CIMA or ACCA have a higher education qualification in Finance and Accounting and have an A level or equivalent education. We would expect the applicant to have at least 2 years experience of preparation of management and financial statements, coupled with managing staff effectively; it goes without saying that a background from either publishing or media would be considered an asset to the role. You must have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, be adaptable able to work on you own initiative and be extremely self-motivated.

The role will encompass management accounts including HP creditors, accrued income, work in progress, budget preparation, commission distributions, reconciliation of all inter company accounts within the group, final reviews of journals both sales and purchase ledger, reconciliation of cash books, petty cash, and VAT returns for two organisations within the group.
