Regional Sales Manager

The main purpose of the role is to coach and develop the Region's branch sales teams to achieve all targets and customer service standards whilst carrying out delegated tasks in support of the Regional Manager's operational strategy.
The key responsibilities will be to:
* Assist the Regional Manager to produce regional plans, strategy and tactics necessary to achieve all sales objectives.
* Plan and implement induction programmes to ensure people receive appropriate training, development and feedback.
* Identify training needs and provide frequent coaching to develop Branch Managers and sales team members.
* Assist the Regional Manager in recruiting of quality people by utilising knowledge of local job markets.
You must be highly motivated, an excellent communicator, and possess the ability to complete tasks to an extremely high standard. Previous experience in retail financial services is essential. In addition you must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in business development and the achievement of targets through the implementation of creative strategies.
The successful candidate will therefore possess an excellent knowledge of both the mortgage and savings marketing - including competitor activity.
Performance management and coaching will all come into play in this role and you will be comfortable with the 'future manager' responsibilities as well as being able to get the best from people through responsibility-based/behavioural-based coaching.
Educated to A level standard, CeMap qualified and ideally an appropriate professional qualification would be desirable. Flexibility to working hours will be needed.
