Job Description
A well-established restaurant chain, predominantly based in South East England is looking for experienced Head Chefs who have a passion for Italian food and wine. The ideal person must be ambitious, motivated and able to take charge whilst ensuring set objectives are achieved.

You must have 2 – 3 years experience in Italian cuisine.

The ideal candidate must have a strong emphasis on coaching and training, also responsible for budgets and maintaining Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts. You must also be computer literate.

You will not be involved in menu creation as this is exclusively cooked to specification. You will be more involved in chef management, quality service delivery and administrative duties.

Must be fluent in English and be able to communicate at all levels.

Highly motivated with a real passion and enthusiasm for Italian food and wine. You must also have strong work ethics with the ability to encourage others around you to achieve high standards.

Depending on your knowledge and experience you will be given between 4 – 8 weeks training. In the induction period you will be shadowing a colleague with experience in running a similar unit prior to your assignment.

You are an excellent time manager, able to plan and multi task, and the experience to make responsible tactical decisions. It will also be advantageous to have a flexible working approach with a Calm Friendly and Outgoing personality.

It will be beneficial if you have had experience in high profile commercial restaurant environments with service turnover of between £175K - £400K per month and serve over 2000 covers per day.
