Job Description
Our client is seeking an Operation System Security Engineer to proactively improve information security at the company. As an OS Security Engineer your role is vital to the company as you are responsible for strengthening operating system security at production and corporate sites.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

• Architecting secure builds on Windows and UNIX environments
• Implementing and maintaining kernel control security mechanisms (HIPS)
• Implementing change management control on system and services
• Deploying unified access control for servers and network devices
• Deploying database security mechanisms
• Defining and applying OS fortification procedures
• Conducting security assessments of IT environments
• Administration of Infosec server infrastructure

The following requirements are a must for this position:

• Outstanding RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) security skills (backed by relevant RedHat Security or similar certifications)
• Outstanding Windows security skills (backed by relevant Microsoft Security certifications)
• Thorough understanding of Linux and Windows internals
• Previous experience as an OS Security Engineer or similar position
• Solid foundation on Information Security best practices
• System Administration skills
• Strong technical documentation skills

Skills in the following areas will be considered a plus, but are not required:

• Oracle security
• Incident handling experience
• Solaris administration experience
• Network security

Salary dependent on experience
