Job Description
Our client is searching for an Oracle DBA to perform the following duties:

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle Database software and other products.
• Database Design and Implementation.
• Establish and maintain Backup and recovery policies and procedures for all Oracle Shop Databases.
• Implement and Maintain database security.
• Database tuning and performance monitoring – working alongside 3rd Party software provider.
• Monitoring of Daily and Weekly database jobs.
• Importing and Exporting of Data to and From External databases and systems.
• Creation of new Schemas, tables and stored procedures based on the requirements of internal development teams.
• Monitoring database growth and changes.
• Out of hours Support.

Required Skills

• Experience and knowledge of Oracle 10g and 9i databases, utilities and tools.
• Experience and knowledge and database design techniques.
• Experience of Oracle database tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios including Oracle Recovery Manager.
• Experience and knowledge of Oracle resources and initialization parameters
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003 Operating systems.
• Experience of 24/7 online Transactional processing systems.

Beneficial Skills

• Experience and knowledge of Sql Server 2000 and 2005 databases, utilities and tools.
• Experience and knowledge of Database migrations and upgrades.
• Cluster environment experience.
• Experience of Data migration and Transformations and Import and Export techniques.
• Knowledge of MS Reporting Services.
• Experience of using TOAD.
• Experience of Multi Site Business set up.

Salary is competitive and dependant on experience
