Job Description
Lister Petter is an independent manufacturer of small industrial diesel engines and associated products. It has been producing engines and generating sets for over 100 years. It has operations in the USA, France, South Africa and India as well as its headquarters in Dursley England.

A vacancy has arisen within our Purchasing Department for a Senior Buyer.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record as a buyer in a commercial role - cost prefered. Have an ability to analyse costs in detail and prioritise work load in order to meet project deadlines.

In addition you will be able to:-

Achieve annual cost reduction requirements
Ensure accurate and timely quotation management
Develop, gain approval and execute purchasing strategies (parts and suppliers)
Ensure accurate and timely supplier selection
Provide detailed cost analysis of part and investment
Lead special projects as required
Achieve new model targets through negotiation
Prioritise workload to meet deadlines
Build good working relationships with suppliers
