THE COMPANY:
Our client specialises in developing software which is used to test a person’s mental state (including perception, reasoning and judgement, intuition, and memory). This is being successfully sold into two key markets: Clinical Trials/Pharmaceutical and the Academic Research sector. This extremely sophisticated suite of products are highly sought after, as it can both diagnose certain conditions and test for impairment or improvement, when conducting research or testing new drugs as part of the clinical trial process.
The company are doing exceptionally well both in the UK and globally. Non UK sales attributed to 50% of last years revenue and this market is set to grow further. They are in the enviable position of having few competitors and a product is being developed for a third key sector of Clinical Diagnostics. This is on schedule for release later this year.
Our client has attracted and retained a first class team of professionals, who are vibrant, dynamic, committed and passionate about what they do. Marketing is seen as a top priority and this position is therefore a very important role, which will attract innovative marketers.
THE POSITION:
The Marketing manager will be required to plan, implement and evaluate a wide range of activities in order to meet corporate growth plans. This includes:
Brand Management and Development; company web site content; Advertising; promotion; online marketing and new media; PR/media relations; sponsorship and research.
Marketing plan analysis and revision of activities, such as advertising, pricing, profitability, lead generation
Activities for developing a new sector (Clinical Diagnostics) as well as the current two sectors.
Supporting business development teams and senior management
The role will involve some international travel.

REQUIREMENTS
Professional marketing qualification (ideally CIM or IDM)
Understanding of at least one of the following markets: Pharmaceutical, healthcare and/or CRO markets
Experience and success in managing budgets and marketing projects
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels (liaising, negotiating and influencing both internally and externally) and work well in a team
Creative flair and strategic thinker.
Dynamic personality, yet strategic and subtle, credible and well rounded savvy professional with good business acumen.
Scientific background is also a bonus, as is language skills.
