Major recruitment drive in IT

In order to match its phenomenal business growth and success, the BGL Group is spearheading a major recruitment drive to expand its highly skilled IT team to around 200 people.
The BGL Group is the UK’s largest privately-owned personal lines insurance intermediary with 2,250 employees, and has a whole spectrum of new IT career opportunities available at its state-of-the-art new premises in Park House, Lynch Wood, Peterborough. Roles on offer range from positions within software development and systems support, to management information and platform management. The positions are relevant to people with all levels of experience.
The recruitment team is hosting two open evenings between 5pm and 8pm at Park House on Tuesday, October 16, and on Wednesday, November 7, to enable potential employees to meet members of the IT team, discuss their career aspirations and view the impressive air-conditioned working environment which includes an on-site gym. Anyone interested is welcome to visit on these two evenings, no appointment is necessary.
A massive £1.8 million has been invested in upgrading the new Lynch Wood premises to cope with the growth of the IT department. This growth is the result of the continuing expansion of the BGL Group, which is now one of the largest IT employers in Peterborough.
The IT department services the complete range of the BGL Group’s diverse trading divisions: Budget & Dial, Junction, comparethemarket.com, Bennetts bike insurance, Fusion Contact Centres and ACM ULR. It supports the business across a wide range of IT disciplines. The majority of the software to support the Group’s customer-facing divisions is developed in-house.
