Leading luxury performance motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats announces the re-introduction of the SHIELD programme, available as a costed-option for the Targa 38 and the Phantom 40. The programme, first launched at Southampton Boat Show in 2005, is designed for buyers seeking to simplify the first two years’ ownership experience as a number of maintenance services and extra costs, such as insurance and warranty are all-inclusive for the two years following purchase. Of particular appeal will be two years’ Pantaenius insurance and a full tank of fuel on delivery.

For buyers new to boating – or indeed less experienced owners, training courses for skipper and crew are also offered. Furthermore, ongoing servicing and warranty protection over the first two years will ensure that the re-sale value of the boat is protected.

On launching the programme at the PSP Southampton Boat Show, James Robinson, Sales and Marketing Director at Fairline Boats commented, ‘In the current tight economic climate we are working hard to support our appointed dealers with initiatives that add value to both the Fairline brand and the Fairline model range. During 2005 and 2006 our SHIELD programme led directly to the sale of 36 new boats so we are optimistic that it will be keenly taken up over the next 12 months.’

The Fairline Targa 38 and Phantom 40, along with the complete twelve boat line-up will be on display at the PSP Southampton Boat Show on berths 224-235.

SHIELD Programme content:

1. Pre/On delivery benefits include:
a) Pre-Delivery anti-fouling
b) Full tank of fuel
c) Standard sign-writing to transom
d) Skipper training course to ICC certificate standard or equivalent
e) Crew training course for the family

2. Benefits over two years include:

The SHIELD programme is offered by Fairline appointed dealers (other than the Americas) and will be implemented by them at the individual new boat handover.
