Fairline Boats plc has announced that the Fairline Targa 38 is to make its world debut at next year's London Boat Show, which runs from January 6th-15th at the ExCel Centre in London's Docklands.

Set to be another ‘landmark’ model in the Targa series, the brand new Targa 38 will offer customers similar qualities to the class-leading Targa 47. Following the latest design direction with sharp clean lines, the luxurious model will feature an all-new Targa interior, styled with the use of a brand new satin white oak veneer or traditional luxurious cherry. Benefiting from a contemporary feel throughout, the Targa 38 boasts a brand new integrated entertainment column and stunning feature windows.

Fairline Targa 38 details
The Targa 38 really has to be seen to be believed. Visitors to the show will be amazed at the sheer amount of luxury and class Fairline has packed into the 38 feet model, as well as the remarkable feeling of space throughout. With dining arrangements and accommodation for up to 6 people (dependent on individual specifications), Fairline has created another express cruiser suitable for enjoying the lifestyle often dreamt of outside the fast pace of everyday life.

With a spacious cockpit, plentiful sunbathing areas and luxurious appointments throughout, the Fairline Targa 38 is set to follow in the footsteps of all Fairline’s previous Targa’s and become yet again, a class leader.

Cockpit and Helm Position
Featuring the most generous cockpit layout to date, the focus of the Targa 38 is on entertaining. Spacious and open plan, the cockpit features a sumptuous chaise longue positioned alongside the double bolstered helm seat. The ergonomically designed seating position benefits from an anti-glare twin colour helm station and drop down step to allow easier all round vision when necessary.

Once at anchor, the cockpit area is perfect for al fresco dining with wrap-around seating for six. An optional, but unique, large teak table lowers to form a sunbed or folds away seamlessly into the seating area with a simple and swift cantilever action. The Targa 38 benefits from exceptional bar and cooking facilities, including a sink with hot and cold water, barbecue and bar unit, complete with luxurious teak lid. There is also excellent cockpit storage, with dedicated places to store fenders, boat hooks and sun cushions.

A transom gate leads to the integral 4’2” teak-laid bathing platform, which is suitable to accommodate a 2.7m dinghy or RIB. Generous side-decks with solid large diameter handrails afford easy access to the foredeck, where reticulated foam coachroof sun cushions provide for perfect relaxation.

Internal accommodation
The internal accommodation has been designed for luxurious overnight accommodation for the owners plus two guests. An optional double berth insert is available, with the table in the saloon elegantly sliding down, converting to a further double berth.

The luxurious and opulently appointed Master Stateroom with double berth is positioned forward with considerable natural light from the twin portholes and deck hatch, providing a bright and airy cabin with generous stowage including a full-height hanging locker. A luxuriously appointed full-size en suite with separate shower adjoins the cabin.

The twin guest cabin is amidships with ample stowage that also includes a hanging wardrobe. The twin berths can be brought together in a unique ‘scissor action’, providing guests with the benefit of a double berth. Generous opening portholes provide natural daylight and the guest accommodation is completed by a private vanity unit locker and basin, featuring hot and cold pressurised water.

Saloon/Galley
The sociable main saloon has comfortable seating for six and a state of the art entertainment console including LCD television, radio, and 12-disc CD changer. The comprehensively equipped galley comes complete with gas hob, oven and microwave, full height fridge/freezer and extractor fan, and has a panoramic hull window.

“The design team at Fairline are renowned for their class leading execution of layout and design,” says Adam Greenwood, Technical Director at Fairline Boats. “Our team offer the most fantastic attention to detail and practical design which is immediately visible as soon as you step onto the Targa 38; offering another step forward in evolutionary design and styling.”

The 38-foot Targa naturally benefits from a brand new Bernard Olesinkski hull and sparkling engine dynamics from the latest generation of Volvo Penta outdrives. Engine options available will be Twin Volvo Penta D4-260 EVC and Twin Volvo Penta D6-310 EVC, and speeds of up to 35 knots are expected.
