Ferrari Challenge Dealer Team GB show true grit at Monza

Ferrari GB had a tough weekend at Monza in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli at the midpoint of the European championship. Geoff Farmer (car 103) and Borislav Maletić (car 89) took the top honours for the British team in the Coppa Shell with two individually inspired drives while Ross Kaiser struggled for form in the Trofeo Pirelli. The fourth car in the Ferrari Dealer Team GB of Christian Passuti and Lorenzo Casè (car 29) was competing in the Italian championship.

The ‘Temple of Speed’ as Monza is known in Italy certainly lived up to its name as Geoff Farmer climbed from 15th in qualifying to a fantastic 6th by the chequered flag. Borislav Maletić achieved his best ever qualifying position of 9th, finishing the race in 10th position, a personal best.

Ross Kaiser (car 27) had a hard day at the office finishing 8th and 7th in the two Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli races. Christian Passuti and Lorenzo Casè (car 29) took the opportunity to compete in the Italian championship which ran concurrently with the European championship at Monza. They achieved an 8th and 11th position.

Massimo Fedeli Managing Director of Ferrari GB said ‘Monza is a fantastic circuit and the ‘Temple of Speed’ inspired Geoff Farmer and Borislav Maletić to produce two incredible drives. Ferrari Challenge racing is all about the passion of motorsport combined with the luxury of Ferrari and this weekend we saw that spirit come to life. In two weeks time we travel to the South of France for the next round at Paul Ricard, where we will welcome clients and guests to the most technical circuit in the world.’
