Leading global property consultant, Knight Frank, has been appointed by St David’s Partnership to market the 304 city centre apartments in one of the UK’s most exciting retail-led, mixed-use urban regeneration schemes.

In the heart of Cardiff city centre, St David’s 2 is being jointly developed by Land Securities and Capital Shopping Centres. Extending the existing St David’s shopping centre, the new scheme will cover 1.4m sq ft creating one of the biggest retail schemes in Britain and will include the new John Lewis department store as well as a grand arcade linking shops, restaurants and bars.

As well as retail, the proposed development includes city centre apartments that will further advance the recent trend for inner city living in the heart of Cardiff, witnessed earlier this year by Knight Frank when the highly sought after David Morgan Apartments sold out in an hour.

Lester Hampson of Land Securities said: “We are delighted to have Knight Frank on board. Having worked on numerous high profile projects in Cardiff, we will undoubtedly benefit from their extensive knowledge of the south Wales market.”

Catherine Maunder, Partner at Knight Frank said: “The concept of city centre living is generating tremendous excitement in the market place and this scheme has already received a great deal of attention. The mixed use approach will create a vibrant, stimulating environment to the heart of the city centre and we’re thrilled to come on board.”
