Winkworth comes to Palmers Green
10 December 2006
Winkworth's recently opened Palmers Green office will be its 75th overall and 55th in London. The new north London Winkworth office, in Green Lane, will bring a trusted and high-profile brand to the area and, crucially, will provide sellers with a lucrative link to the affluent central London buyer, via Winkworth's network of offices.
The office will cover the Palmers Green, Southgate and Winchmore Hill areas. Nick Charalambous, Franchisee of Winkworth Palmers Green, has lived in Palmers Green allof his life, attending school in Enfield and growing up in the Lakes Estate area. Nick has a diverse property background - he worked for a firm of architects for five years, then in the building services industry for ten years. He then became project manager for a residential building developer before working for himself buying, selling and developing property.
Nick says: “I know this area very well and with Winkworth behind me I will be able to provide my customers with a very high level of service and local expertise. I am sure we will be as successful as neighbouring Winkworth offices in Harringay and Tottenham.”
A mixture of Victorian and Edwardian property, plenty of green space and excellent links into central London, via Arnos Grove underground station and Palmers Green main line station, add to Palmers Green's appeal. Nick says:
“Families and young professionals alike will find plenty to impress them in this affluent part of Enfield. The area is thriving with household names such as Marks & Spencer and Pizza Express, which are found in the popular Green Lanes.
And with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars - including the first non-smoking pub in London, The Alfred Herring - we are in good company.”
It is expected that the area will draw buyers from other local Winkworth offices, as well as those nearer to central London where clients are perhaps looking for more space for their money. Nick says:
“This area represents the start of the leafy suburban part of town and for this reason it is relatively tranquil for an area that is just a 20 minute tube journey into central London.”
Winkworth offices have a well-earned reputation for local expertise and high-service levels. Joining Nick will be Ricky Dengel, who has been an estate agent in Hampstead and Belsize Park for over twelve years, and Billy Boyle who began his career in estate agency ten years ago working in north west London, after studying law.
Dominic Agace, Managing Director of Winkworth, says: “The Palmers Green office is an exciting addition to Winkworth's London coverage of 55 offices. Nick's local expertise together with Winkworth's pool of London-based clients, will surely add value to properties in the N13 area.”
