The Gers, department 32, is in South West France at the heart of old Gascony, a triangular area below the Garonne, stretching from Bordeaux in the west, then going eastwards towards Toulouse and southwards towards the foothills of the Pyrenees.

Eauze is a gentle and pleasant Gascoigne town much appreciated by visitors - especially on Thursdays, the market-day. Eauze is the smallest of the three main towns around which the production of Armagnac is centered.
