The Château de Bagen was built in 1632 by the then "seigneur" of the area, Roger le Baux. Through the intervening years it was passed through the same family until the beginning of the 20th Century. In recent years it has been renovated to preserve its original features and to add 21st Century comforts. The Château de Bagen has full central heating, a modern kitchen, four reception rooms, a winter garden, nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, cellars and guardians accommodation. Within the almost two hectares (five acres) of enclosed grounds are a pond, formal gardens and a 12m pool with pool house.
