Lourdes is just two miles away.
The magnificent Pyrenees offer a host of sporting and cultural activities, including great skiing in winter, the nearest station being half an hour away. Gorgeous St. Jean de Luz and Biarritz (with world class surfing), on the fabulous Atlantic coast, are within an hour and a half. San Sebastian, in Spain, is a bit furtheralthough the nearest Spanish frontier is about 45 minutes.
