New exhibition puts Obama in focus A new and exciting exhibition, putting Barak Obama into sharp focus, has opened at the Newseum, Washington, DC’s highly interactive museum of news history. The Fotobama exhibition called ‘Picturing the President’ features the top 100 professional and amateur photographs, selected from more than 1,500, related to the historic presidency of Barak Obama.

Photographs have been divided into two categories; Presidential Campaign and Election, covering photographs from 1st January 2007 – 14th January 2009 and Inauguration Week which was from 15th – 21st January 2009. On Inauguration Day thousands of visitors watched the days historic events unfold from the Newseum, whilst dozen of media crews broadcast live from the museum.

Newseum is dedicated to the world of media and communications. It opened in April 2008.
