Let English Heritage put a spring in your step
6 March 2008
Fun Easter events are taking place at historic English Heritage sites across the country from 21 March – 6 April. Children of all ages can join in with a range of events and activities, including egg trails, egg rolling and egg and spoon races - collecting delicious prizes along the way.
If all the egg-citement gets too much, try an Easter bank holiday day out with a difference. Step back in time to the Medieval Ages at Kenilworth Castle between 21-24 March for a day of sword fighting, medieval combat, have a go archery and living history encampments.
As well fun over the Easter bank holiday, why not celebrate the arrival of spring with a family day out? Entertain the kids over spring half term with a trip to Dover Castle’s week long Children’s Festival from 7-11 April. Children can get involved in a range of fun activities including circus skills, stage combat, duelling and dressing up. Awe-inspiring side shows, medieval music and a court jester will be on hand to make your visit a day out worth talking about.
