Flights to Belfast International will also increase from two to three times a day and Toulouse will expand by 100 per cent, offering two flights a week.

The announcements were made at a press conference held jointly by Jet2.com, Leeds Bradford International Airport and Leeds Rugby at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

“We are particularly excited about Hamburg, which further reinforces our ongoing expansion into Germany and we look forward to the increased business between Hamburg and the Leeds City Region as a result.
“More people than ever across Europe are now only a short flight away from Yorkshire and we are raising the profile of the City Region through our great value fares, excellent service and inbound marketing. Our latest route expansion will continue to target both business and leisure travellers and further drive tourism into the region.
