All Golds in town as Haka comes to Leeds
19 October 2007
Commuters passing through Leeds station were stunned this week as they were treated to a performance of the Haka. New Zealand All Golds are in town for the Gillette Fusion Centenary International rugby league game which takes place this Saturday. They performed the traditional Maori dance after arriving at the train station to surprised commuters waiting for their trains!
This is a re-creation of 1907 when the All Golds performed the Haka to 6,000 spectators as they arrived in Leeds for the first ever international fixture between the nations.
The All Golds take on Northern Union, a side made up of rugby Superleague players including Danny McGuire of Jet2.com sponsored Leeds Rhinos.
