Monarch traffic rises by 8% on scheduled services in May
6 June 2008

Despite other airlines currently reporting lower than expected results, May saw a huge increase in passenger numbers and load factor for low fares airline Monarch on it’s scheduled services, compared to the same period last year.

May also saw the airline launch a new five-flights-a-week service from Manchester to Larnaca (Cyprus), as well as the re-introduction of flights from Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester to Ibiza for the summer season.

Overall, for both scheduled and charter services, Monarch carried a total of 657,056 passengers during May 2008.
