Singapore Airlines wins ‘Best Airline’ at Which? Awards
19 June 2008

Leading consumer magazine Which? has declared Singapore Airlines ‘Best Airline’ at their annual awards ceremony in London only weeks after being named ‘Airline of the Year’ by OAG (The Official Airline Guide). These converted awards come in the year the airline launched the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the A380.

The Which ? Awards - held at the British Museum on Tuesday 17th June - celebrate the very best in consumer products and services in the UK from domestic appliances to restaurants and retailers. Singapore Airlines secured the title following a survey of over 30,000 long and short-haul flights by Which? members and rated a total of 71 airlines.

In addition to receiving top marks for the helpfulness and efficiency of its iconic cabin crew, Singapore Airlines were also highlighted for their check-in, aircraft cleanliness, comfort and in-flight entertainment. The airline was also recognised for its value for money, and received top marks for its in-flight dining, proving that it’s possible to serve high-quality food at high altitude.

The award was presented to Singapore Airlines General Manager for the UK and Ireland, Mr Marvin Tan, who drew parallels between the publication and the Airline for continually putting the consumer first.
