29 March 2007

TAP will start up its seventh flight a week to Luanda beginning this July, the month in which it begins operating daily flights between Lisbon and the Angolan capital. Currently running five flights a week, the airline company will begin operating a sixth flight a week on Saturdays from April 28.

So, beginning in April, TAP flights to the Angolan capital will depart from Lisbon at 10:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and arrive at the Angolan capital at 7:05am the following day.

On the return leg, flights leave Luanda at 9:15am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays arriving at Portela airport at 4:45pm.

Scheduled to start on July 3, daily flights will run at the same times.

The authorization TAP received to operate these two new flights a week will enable the company to meet the increasing demand for the Lisbon – Luanda route using A340 aircraft with the capacity to carry 268 passengers.
