bmibaby, the award winning airline with tiny fares and the largest carrier at Cardiff International Airport has announced further development at the airport which sees the introduction of a new route, increased frequencies on existing routes and a new early morning departure on a key domestic route.

For summer 2007, the airline will be introducing a new four times weekly service to Murcia which is the perfect gateway to the fast developing La Manga strip on Spain’s Costa Calida. Flights commence on 27 March 2007 but are available for booking now from just £29.99 one way including taxes at bmibaby.com.

Jersey increases from a weekly service to a three times a week service and Faro increases from a weekly service to a four times per week service. Fares for the routes including taxes start from just £29.99, £24.99, and £29.99 respectively.

The airline has also retimed the first of its two daily flights to Belfast International Airport to a 7am departure making it much more suitable for the business traveller.

Announcing the news at Cardiff International Airport, David Hodge, marketing director, bmibaby, said:

"bmibaby remains committed to offering low cost fares to many European destinations from Cardiff International Airport. The introduction of a new service to Murcia will offer the people of South Wales the opportunity to access the Costa Calida and the fast developing La Manga strip."

Palma will increase to a daily flight, Faro increases from its current one a week to four a week and Jersey increases from one a week to three a week. Fares on these routes start from just £24.99 one way, including taxes."

"We have also introduced a more business friendly departure time for our double daily service to Belfast International with the first daily flight now departing at 7am."
