Dubai’s revolutionary new resort to open next week Atlantis, The Palm, the first resort to open on Dubai’s revolutionary island The Palm Jumeirah, will open its doors in a week - on 24 September 2008. Book now for a three night stay from £849 per person and be one of the first to experience the stunning new 1,539-room destination resort.

Virgin Holidays (virginholidays.com) is offering three nights from £849 per person. The offer includes return economy class flights with Virgin Atlantic and accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis. This price includes transfers and is based on two adults travelling from 1 - 18 October 2008.

With its enviable location on the crescent of The Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis, The Palm will redefine tourism in Dubai as the first fully integrated entertainment resort. Highlights include Aquaventure, the biggest water park in the Middle East, an open-aired marine habitat, a seemingly endless stretch of beach, luxury boutiques, 17 dining choices including four celebrity chef restaurants (from Nobu, Giorgio Locatelli, Michel Rostang and Santi Santamaria), an exciting nightclub and a spa and fitness club.

Atlantis, The Palm is accessed by a six-lane underwater vehicle tunnel, which surfaces next to the resort. Alternately, guests may also choose to leave their cars at the base of the trunk in a secure, dedicated parking area, and board a monorail to be transported through the centre of The Palm Jumeirah directly to Atlantis, The Palm.
