Volvo Trucks’ deliveries during July amounted to 8,092 vehicles, up 14% compared with the year-earlier period.

The increase is attributable to a high pace of deliveries to South America, Asia and Eastern Europe.

The downturn regarding the economic situation in Europe, as well as high fuel prices, continues to affect the truck demand adversely.

The deliveries in North America was in the month of July positively impacted by temporarily higher build rates while recovering production losses during the strike earlier this year. The demand on the North American market remains at a low level.

The demand in South America remains strong and the deliveries in the month of July increased with 48%.
