Ellesmere Port kids welcome health & safety message Five and six year old pupils from Christchurch Primary and Junior School in Ellesmere Port, proved you are never too young to learn about construction techniques and health and safety.

A group of 18 youngsters from Christchurch Primary and Junior School have been treated to a VIP tour of the Meres Edge development in Helsby, where site manager Howard Anthony explained to them about how new properties are built and how important it is to be health and safety aware on site.

Site manager Howard said: "We regularly invite small groups of school children onto our sites to see how houses are built but that is the only time they should be on site. We always welcome the opportunity to tell youngsters about the dangers of construction sites

Trish Derraugh, sales adviser at Meres Edge, said: "At Persimmon we know the importance of involving the local community with all the work we do - we were bowled over by their appetite for learning and hope they enjoyed their time at Meres Edge."

Meres Edge can be found off Chester Road, in Helsby. The development is situated close to the popular market town of Frodsham, which lies in the shadow of Frodsham Hill in the County of Cheshire. The town has a thriving centre with numerous activities taking place throughout the week and weekend, a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants and the serene River Weaver flowing right on by, perfect for those summer strolls by the riverside.

Persimmon is currently offering its Helping Hand shared equity incentive at Meres Edge which allows purchasers to own a home having initially paid for just 75 per cent of the value of the property. They then have up to ten years to pay back the remaining 25 per cent of the current property price however if this is repaid within three years, buyers only pay back the initial 25 per cent.

It's a fantastic way for anyone looking to buy their first or next home and with most people's salaries certain to increase over the ten year period, it allows a realistic period in which to pay back the remaining 25 per cent.
